LAKES
The old oak carp lake is 10 acres in size with depths ranging from 3ft in the shallows up to 9ft at the dam wall and is fed by a small stream.
There are 10 cut swims available at the old oak, 2 of which are doubles ideal for the anglers who wish to add a social feel to their trip, and two swims up in the shallows which are ideal for stalking from, all have long flat grassy banks and make bivvying up very easy and comfortable. So as to not spoil everyone's enjoyment and give everyone plenty of space and options.
The lake bed is relatively snag free and is made up with hard patches of gravel and clay with patches of silt, you will also find bars and holes and a trough which runs the length of the lake from the shallows to the dam wall.

FISH STOCK
This carp lake is over 200 years old and offers some great fishing it has never been commercially fished, the previous owner of 30yrs was only interested in pike so even the excisting carp have never been caught.There is a large number of carp over 30lbs and fish of over 40lbs be one of the first anglers to fish this lake and catch fish that have never seen a hook in their lives.There are no poisson-chats or clay fish in our lakes.

FACILITIES
The gite at the old carp fishery sleeps up to four people, kitchen with appliances, bathroom suite with shower, TV. Also available at the old oak carp fishery Six mobile caravan pitches with electric points and mains water with perfect views of beautiful surroundings. Facilities are excellent and accommodation wonderfull.You can get a good night sleep and still catch. The whole family family can stay in comfort if you want to bring them along.
